Colours of Life!!

Hi! Today while surfing the net, something got into my eye and I closed it instantly. It was so painful that I had shut it for few minutes. That is when I wondered how difficult and different would have been life without light.

I opened my eyes and it struck me then what if our lives had no colour?

Have you ever imagined life without colours? Hell no! Can’t even think of it. We are so used to seeing colours that they have become something we take for granted.

The significance of colours can be judged from the fact that most are associated with our emotions and different activities of our life.

White symbolises peace, Red symbolises both love and anger, Yellow is for friendship, Green implies jealously.

Each colour adds a zing to our lives, gives a face to each emotion we have.

Here is a little poem about different colours of life.

Colours of Life

Oh Life! Oh Life! Oh Colourful Life!

Our lives are filled with colours from the start,
Each one touches our heart.

In the beginning within my Mamma’s  womb, all was pitch black,
After my birth, colours started pouring from life’s mysterious sack,

Oh Life! Oh Life! Oh Colourful Life!

All Your colours had me enchanted,
I could not take You for granted.

Oh Life! Oh Life! Oh Colourful Life!

Red...
Is the love that is heart-fed.

Blue...
Is the sadness dripping down,as we knew.

Yellow...
Is the colour for the soulful fellow.

Green..
Is the jealously monster that makes you mean.

Purple..
Is the mood misunderstood in ample.

White...
Is the shade that makes you light,
So just keep it tight.

Oh Life! Oh Life! Oh Colourful Life!

Thank You for all the meaningful colours,
You give us all the valour....

Hey Life!!!!

Hey Life!!!

All my salutes to you.

I had no great dreams ,I just had small hopes from thee,
But now, You have made all that far to see.

Yet life, I honour you,

For all the pain,
I have learnt to laugh again,

For all the sorrow,
there was so much learning for a better tomorrow,

For all the tears,
You helped me conquer all my fears,

For all the failures,
You have taught me to be an ardent sailor,

For every hurdle that I face,
I have learnt my own path to trace,

So greatly have you moulded me, how can I not honour thee?

Just say a Thank You..

Hello everybody!!!

This is my first post. I don’t know how to start, what to write about. Okay, now that I have started penning down, there are two things I think I would love to share.

First, why did I name this blog as ‘ Free Butterfly’?

A butterfly is basically a day-flying insect, as we all know. But to me somehow, it symbolises, freeness of the spirit, ambitious flight into the wonderful world up in the sky.

I am a new mother, a first timerJ. I have a four months old daughter. After having my baby, there have been drastic changes in me. My little angel has made me so different, so confident and so strong that words will fail to describe. There is an usher of positivity in me.

Thank You Sweetheart..:)

Okay, now the second thing..The incident goes like this...

I was returning from Delhi after a vacation. I boarded the flight with my mother, my husband and my little daughter.

My husband was allotted a seat in a different row, away from us. So I requested the flight attendant to make some suitable arrangements for us since we had an infant along. She politely said, ‘Madam, you will have to wait for the passenger in the concerned seat to come in  and then swap seats if he/she is fine with it’.

To which I said, “Thank You, I will wait..”

Then walked in, a funky teenager, a sweet girl.  I asked her, if she could exchange her seat with us and she readily, without a minute of thought agreed to it.

It was indeed, very sweet of her. And yet again, I instinctively smiled and spoke out, “Thank You very much..It’s really nice of  you.”

After the seat chaos was done with, the air hostess came in wearing a fresh smile to inform me about the safety instructions because there was an infant (my little one) on board.

Post her demonstration, I smiled back again and said, “Thank you..Shubhangi.” (I had earlier read her name on the badge she wore :) )

All this happened, say maybe within 10-15 minutes after boarding and during this while, two young girls, I presume sisters sitting in the row ahead of us, giggled to one another. I overheard one saying to the other, “Why is she unnecessarily showering so many Thank You’s ?  It seems that she has been bitten by some bug or has returned from the Land of Thank You’s.. ”

Wow!! I was simply amazed with their fascination carrying them to the Land of Thank You’s.

After this, I just called one of the girls and said, “ Thank you”

She made a strange face and asked, “Why..Thank You?”
I said, “Thank You..just like that..because I felt I should thank you.”

I actually thanked them for transporting me to their Land of Thank You’s, for travelling along with me and having silly talk, which further helped me justify and feel happy about my “thank you”.

I believe,
We should say ‘Thank you’ to everybody  who made us what we are today.
Thank you to my parents, my family members, my friends, my colleagues and everyone else who has been a part of my life at some point.
Thank you to those who have celebrated my victories, to those who have stood by me during my failures.
Thank you all who have inspired me for their good actions gave me joy. Thank you all who have cursed me for their bad actions gave me strength.
I am grateful to all those who made mistakes for me to learn and to all who corrected me.
Thank you God..for making  this Life beautiful.....:)
